Mental Radio began experimenting with mashups in early 2010. Using several cross-platform digital music production software, the digital pyrotehnician enjoys mashing music and djing in his spare time. Initially being inspired by Super Mash Bros, Mental Radio developed his own style from a variety of influences.
In 2011, Mental Radio released his first mashup. Many of these singles would become instant hits such as “The Powermash Girls” and “Patiently Waiting for the Best Day Ever.” The following year marked his debut mashup album “Late Night Drive Thru.” With over 90 samples in 45 minutes, this 15 track album was packed with genres that covered any audience. Within 24 hours, it received thousands of plays and downloads as well as critical acclaim from numerous blogs.
Music is always changing and so is Mental Radio. His mashups can be described as unpredictable and refreshing by blending songs and artists that wouldn’t typically be expected. In order to keep up with the music scene, he gears his music towards the listeners in order to grasp their interest. Now, he will hit the EDM scene by storm, combining top-40 acapellas with massive instrumental bangers. Music has no beginning or an end therefore Mental Radio has no beginning or an end.
